Monghla Matisa placed second in the boys u/19 Long Jump at the Gauteng Schools Championships with a distance of 6,89m, ensuring his qualification to the South African Schools Athletics Championships on 30 May 2026, hosted at Pilditch Stadium in Pretoria, Gauteng.

Monghla becomes the first Maranatha Christian School Long Jump athlete to compete at the South African Schools Championships.
