Maranatha Christian School soccer started of playing 6-a-side soccer in the SACSSA (South African Christian School Sport Association) Due to the school size this option was a perfect start. SACCSA Hosted Zonal, Regional and National events where teams had to qualify to move to next stage.

Maranatha Christian School Started With one Primary and High School team. The teams did well placing top 3 in the first year.
