Currently Maranatha Christian School takes part in various athletic events with inter high and inter primary schools events being the main focus for success.
The High School takes part in the Independent Private Schools Inter High Athletics Meet and The Primary School forms part of the Kempton Park Primary schools athletics meets.
The Primary School Athletics has different groups where in different schools compete.
After all inter athletics events athletes who have qualified either by standard or position go on to compete in the Greater Kempton Area athletics meet.
Athletes then placed top two or three respective of age and event will continue to District event where after they will compete under the Gauteng banner at the South African School Athletic Championships
