The under 11 Cricket team had a close to flawless season. The under 11 cricket boys are not just full of talent but they showcase a great work ethic. Always attempting to better themselves and never missing a practice. This proved to be rewarding.
2019 Season results.
Kempton Park Primary – MCS win by 6 Wickets.
Kreft Primary School – MCS win by 7 Wickets.
Birchleigh Primary – MCS win by 49 Runs.
Jeugpark Primary – MCS win by 4 Wickets.
Norkem Park Primary – MCS win by 20 Runs.
Semi-Final vs Mooifontein Primary – MCS win By 4 Wickets.
Final vs Norkem Park Primary – MCS win by 4 Wickets.
2019 proved to be a dream year for the under 11 MCS cricket team. With convincing wins right through out the season. The under 11 how ever did find themselves in a pressure situation in the final loosing the top order batsman early. The whole season the top order did not fail once.
Final pressure and now the reliable top order back on the spectating stands. The bottom order not facing any sort of pressure the whole season stood firmly and chasing down a low score and plenty overs remaining the middle and lower order followed the example set by Aiden Botma, just ticking over the scoreboard.
The mature mental performance saw the under 11 team home with Aiden being awarded man f the match with his mature batting performance and stellar bowling display. Aiden’s bowling figures (4 wickets for 11 runs in 3.4 overs) and a batting performance of 15 runs from 28 balls seeing his team over the line.
